Ram Janaki Sansthan Positive Broadcasting House RJS PBH in association with Muni International School, Mohan Garden Uttam Nagar New Delhi organised successfully a national Webinar on World Trauma Day and Stroke Day on 20th oct.2024.
Co-orgnizer Dr.Ashok Kumar Thakur welcomed chief guest Dr. Padma Shrivastava, chairperson Paras Health Gurugram and
Dr.Sushma Sagar , Professor & Incharge Trauma Centre AIIMS, New Delhi. He emphasized previous visit at Trauma centre,AIIMS with their students where that environment teaches students. In this meeting National Convener RJS PBH Uday Kumar Manna paid tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on the occasion of Foundation Day of Azad Hind Fauz.
He also spoke about Karwa Chauth & Dhanwantari Jayanti.

RJS PBH Observer Deep Mathur former Director MCD asked about self-generated strokes and how to prevent them, particularly in elderly individuals. Padma responded by explaining that strokes can be both externally and internally generated, and that prevention involves addressing the aforementioned risk factors. Uday then opened the floor for questions.
Understanding Stroke Symptoms and Impact
Dr.Padma explains the signs and symptoms of a stroke, using the mnemonic "BE FAST" - B for balance loss, E for eye or vision problems, F for facial drooping, A for arm weakness, S for speech difficulties, and T for time to call emergency services immediately. She emphasizes that a stroke is a "brain attack" where every minute counts in getting treatment. The group discusses the serious impacts a stroke can have on functions like memory, consciousness, and mobility. Dr. Sushma highlights that accidents can lead to life-altering injuries during one's most productive years, requiring support from mental health professionals.
Stroke Recognition and Treatment Importance
Padma discussed the importance of recognizing and immediately seeking treatment for strokes and heart attacks. She emphasized the need for accreditation of hospitals as stroke-ready centers, with different levels of accreditation for primary and comprehensive stroke centers. She also highlighted the importance of recognizing the symptoms of a stroke and seeking immediate medical attention. Sweety asked a question about the importance of recognizing the symptoms of a stroke, to which Dr. Padma responded by emphasizing the need for immediate medical attention. Ishaq also contributed to the discussion, asking about the causes of blockages in the brain.

She advises against relying too much on supplements and instead advocates for natural remedies like green tea and turmeric. Sushma highlights the risks of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes, and suggests organic supplements. Padma argues that while supplements can be helpful, developing healthy habits from an early age, such as eating vegetables and fruits, is crucial. She also stresses the significance of adequate sleep for overall health and disease prevention.

Sweety Paul, Satyendra Tyagi and Ishaq Khan also raised questions on brain Stroke. Dr. Padma discussed the importance of public awareness programs, physical activity, and mental health, particularly for senior citizens. She also mentioned the need for group activities and motivation to prevent problems like dementia.
